Mitchell Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a Wallan home earlier this morning (24 June).
The burglary occurred at a home in Wiggins Place just after 1am when three men broke into the premises
The victim, a 24-year-old man, told investigators that he was in bed asleep when the men, armed with bats or similar type weapons, entered his bedroom.
The victim was assaulted by the men, sustaining serious head injuries in the attack requiring hospitalisation.
Following the assault the men ran from the house empty-handed.
