Police have commenced an investigation after a driver has died in a two-vehicle crash in the state’s south.
About 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday 7 November 2024), emergency services were called to the Kings Highway, Warri, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and found a blue Aurion sedan and a white Volkswagen utility had crashed.
The front passenger of sedan – a 67-year-old man – sustained head injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of sedan – a 66-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver and utility – a 71-year-old man/woman – was taken to Canberra Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been established and officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
