Police investigating after man’s body found in Warilla

A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway following the discovery of a man’s body at a home in Warilla earlier today.

Emergency services were called to Bradman Avenue, Warilla about 8.50am (Monday 9 March 2020) following reports the body of a man was found on the lounge room floor.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended and established a crime scene.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of a man aged in his 30s.

A 62-year-old man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station to assist with inquiries. He has since been released.

Strike Force Nambir has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Inquiries are continuing, and no arrests have been made at this stage.
