Police investigating after man shot in Hebersham

Investigations are underway after a man was shot in Hebersham this afternoon.

About 2.40pm (Sunday 20 March 2022), emergency services were called to Bletchley Place, following reports a man was shot outside a home.

The man – aged 39 – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for two gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital; his condition is unknown.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and have established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined by specialist officers.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the incident was targeted.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
