Police investigating firearm incident at Embleton

Gang Crime Squad detectives are investigating a serious firearm incident that occurred on 6 March 2023 at an address in Embleton.

About 3am, a male and female victim – both in their 20s – were inside their home on Grant Street with their three children when they were disturbed by a man with a firearm at their front door.

The woman ran to the back of the home and called police immediately, during which the offender fled the scene.

Approximately 20 minutes after police attendance, the woman heard a loud noise – believed to be a gunshot.

Upon inspection, the victims noticed a hole through their front security screen door, internal door and in the wall behind.

Detectives have released vision of two vehicles believed to be in the area at the time of the incident.
