Police investigating hit and run in Kippa Ring, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car in Kippa Ring yesterday morning (September 6).

Preliminary information suggests at around 1.10am a vehicle believed to be a white Ford Falcon XR6 (pictured below, with similar vehicle) was travelling westbound on Klingner Road when it hit a 25-year-old Northgate man between Boardman Road and Brunel Street.

Three men were seen getting back in the vehicle before it left the scene.

The 25-year-old man sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, including multiple broken bones. He remains in hospital in a stable condition in intensive care.

It is possible the car sustained damage to its right side after a nearby witness threw a bat at it as it was driven away.

Police are urging anyone who may have been the vicinity of Klingner Road at the time of the incident, or have dashcam, to come forward.
