Police have charged two men following an assault in North Rockhampton earlier this week.
Investigations indicate that just after 9pm on Sunday, a 24-year-old man was walking home near Armstrong Lane, Berseker, before being confronted by two other men in a laneway.
It’s then alleged the two men assaulted the man and demanded money from him.
It’s understood during the altercation that one of the men stole $700 from the victim.
The 24-year-old man was transported to hospital where he received medical treatment for facial fractures.
Last night, a 23-year-old male from Koongal was charged by Rockhampton Police with robbery in company using personal violence.
He will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today (December 15).
A 25-year-old male from Norman Gardens was also charged with Robbery in company using personal violence and has been released on bail.
He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 12 January 2022.
