Police Investigating Serious Crash At Hindmarsh Valley

A passenger has been seriously injured in a crash at Hindmarsh Valley this afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to Victor Harbor Road, just south of Crows Nest Road, at about 1.50pm on Sunday 5 July, after a Toyota 4WD and a Mitsubishi SUV collided.

A passenger in the Toyota was critically injured and airlifted to hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, a 20-year-old man from Gilles Plains, and his three additional passengers were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 43-year-old man from Hindmarsh Valley, and his passenger were also conveyed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Victor Harbor Road was closed for some time while Victor Harbor Highway Patrol officers examined the scene. The road reopened at 4.30pm.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
