Police investigating wounding at Alderley

A 44-year-old Alderley man was injured after chasing after a man who had allegedly been found inside a Royal Parade home last night (December 31).

Around 11pm a woman disturbed a man inside the home and called out to the 44-year-old.

It will be alleged the homeowner located the man, who was now in the front yard, and a struggle occurred during which time the 44-year-old sustained a stab wound to the arm.

Police attended and located, with the assistance of a police dog and handler and Polair, a 26-year-old Sandgate hiding in nearby bushland.

He has been charged with enter dwelling with intent at night and unlawful wounding. He was denied watchhouse bail and remanded in custody to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
