Police investigating wounding at Caloundra West

Sunshine Coast detectives have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to a wounding at Caloundra West yesterday afternoon (Wednesday April 13).

At approximately 1pm police were called to Moreton Bay Drive, where officers located a 45-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck, back and chest.

The man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

Detectives would like to speak to the 42-year-old man pictured, as the investigation into the incident continues.

Initial enquiries indicate the two men are known to each other.

The 42-year-old man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 180cm tall with a solid build, brown beard and hair with a receding hair line, and blue eyes.

Police also hold concerns for his welfare, as he suffers from a medical condition.

It is believed he is travelling in a white Mitsubishi Triton with Queensland registration 113ZWJ (pictured).

Anyone who knows his whereabouts, or has seen the man or the vehicle pictured, is urged not to approach, and immediately call Triple Zero (000).

Detectives ask anyone with information in relation to the incident, or with dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
