Police investigating wounding at Gladstone Central

A man has been charged following a wounding incident in Gladstone Central yesterday afternoon.

Around 5.30pm police were called to a Brampton Street address after an 18-year-old woman, known to the man suffered a wound to her abdomen.

She was taken to Gladstone Hospital with a life-threatening injury and now is in a serious but stable condition.

A 20-year-old man was later located at a Kin Kora address and was taken to the Gladstone Watchhouse.

He has since been charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence).

The local man is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court tomorrow (December 7).
