Police investigating wounding at Redbank Plains

Police have charged three people in relation to an alleged wounding incident in Redbank Plains yesterday, September 29.

Emergency crews were called to a Mount Juillerat Drive and School Road address just before 5pm following reports of an alleged altercation.

Initial investigations indicate a physical altercation broke out between three people, who are known to each other.

During the incident, a 22-year-old man sustained serious stab wounds to his leg and he was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A second 22-year-old man sustained a shoulder injury and a 33-year-old man sustained a facial injury, both of which, were taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

Officers will allege the two 22-year-old men stole a pair of scissors from a nearby supermarket in the lead up to the altercation.

Meanwhile, it will also be alleged a knife was found at the crime scene.

A 33-year-old Redbank Plains man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

All three men are expected to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, September 30.
