Police investigating wounding at Varsity Lakes

Police have commenced an investigation after a man was stabbed while travelling on a bus along Yodelay Street tonight.

Around 6pm, a 20-year-old man was approached by another man who made demands and threatened him.

An altercation has taken place and the 20-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and head with a knife.

The man then fled from the bus with the victim’s backpack, south along Yodelay Street.

The 20-year-old Palm Beach man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area at the time are urged to contact police.
