Police are investigating an incident between two youths in Launceston yesterday which resulted in a youth receiving a non-life-threatening stab wound.
At 1:50pm, police responded to an altercation involving a group of youths on St John Street.
As a result of the altercation, one youth received a stab wound to his shoulder. He was transported to the Launceston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Immediate assistance from members of the public resulted in the arrest of the offending youth, who was found in possession of a knife.
Police believe this was a targeted incident, as the parties involved were known to each other.
