Police and emergency services have responded to a serious crash at Tatachilla.
About 7.15pm on Saturday 1 April, police were called to Tatachilla Road after a Toyota sedan crashed into a tree and burst into flames.
Sadly, the driver and sole occupant of the car a 27-year-old woman from Lockleys died at the scene.
Tatachilla Road was closed between Main South Road and California Road while Major Crash Investigators attended the scene. Tatachilla Road has since been reopened.
The woman’s death is the 40th life lost on SA roads compared with 18 at the same time last year.
