Police have charged a 24-year-old man with multiple offences after an armed robbery in Beenleigh on Thursday, 27 August.
Around 11pm, police received reports of a 48-year-old man allegedly assaulted whilst in his vehicle in a car park on Boundary Street.
It will be further alleged the offender stole the victim’s car keys and cash before leaving the scene.
Police from Springwood supported by the Logan District Dog Squad located and arrested a 24-year-old man a short time later on Beverley Street in Beenleigh.
Upon his arrest it’s alleged he was found with a knife and a quantity of ammunition.
The 48-year-old man was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
A 24-year-old man was charged with one count each of armed robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, possession of a knife in a public place, and authority to possess explosives (ammunition).
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 21 October.
