Police lay armed robbery charges at Bulimba

Detectives from Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 17-year-old boy following an alleged armed robbery in Bulimba on June 4.

Police will allege around 2.20pm, a man was reversing out of his driveway on Harrison Street when he was approached by two males armed with a knife and a shovel.

The pair allegedly threatened the man and demanded access to the Audi A3.

The man complied and was not physically harmed.

The allegedly stolen Audi was located abandoned and undamaged on Elizabeth Street in Stones Corner.

Extensive investigations led to police locating and arresting the 17-year-old boy at Gleneagle today, June 6.

The 17-year-old boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, possess dangerous drugs and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

His police bail was refused and he is due before Brisbane Childrens Court at a later date.

Investigations are continuing into the incident.
