Police lay armed robbery charges at Harlaxton

Police have charged a 39-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman following investigations into an alleged incident in Harlaxton yesterday morning (December 28).

Police will allege at around 8.40am a man entered a New England Highway business armed with a firearm, demanding cash, before fleeing on foot with the property to a waiting vehicle.

Police apprehended the man and woman following investigations at a Newtown address where they allegedly seized cash and replica weapons.

A 39-year-old North Toowoomba man was arrested, denied police bail and charged with one count of armed robbery. He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today (December 29).

A 32-year-old Newtown woman was arrested, denied police bail and charged with one count of armed robbery. She is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today (December 29).
