Police lay arson charges in Millmerran, QLD

Detectives have charged a woman in connection to an alleged vehicle arson in Millmerran overnight.

Police will allege around 10.30pm on Sunday May 15, a 26-year-old Millmerran woman used an accelerant and set fire to a vehicle parked on Walpole Street before fleeing the scene, following a dispute with a local woman known to her.

The vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Xtrail was completely destroyed and no one was injured during the incident.

Police arrested the woman at a Lola Avenue address and she was charged with one count of arson – motor vehicle. She was denied police bail and will appear in Warwick Magistrates Court today, Monday May 16.
