Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a Fairfield man following a fatal collision which occurred in Ivanhoe this morning.
A female pedestrian was struck by a car on Upper Heidelberg Road about 8am on Saturday 24 December.
Emergency services attended but unfortunately the 75-year-old Ivanhoe woman died at the scene.
The 36-year-old driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 28 December.
