Police lay charges after fatal stabbing – Miller

Two men will face court today charged over their alleged roles in a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s south-west.

Just after 9pm on Sunday 1 October 2023, emergency services were called to Woodward Crescent, Miller, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command found an 18-year-old man suffering serious wounds to his neck.

Responding officers performed CPR before the man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.

A short time later, a 19-year-old man presented to Liverpool Hospital, suffering stab wounds to his back.

A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incidents under Strike Force Tibble.

Following inquiries, strike force investigators arrested a 20-year-old man during a vehicle stop on Valley Road, Campbelltown, about 9.30am yesterday (Tuesday 10 October 2023).

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 11 October 2023).

Following further inquiries, detectives arrested an 18-year-old man at a unit complex in Church Street, North Parramatta, about 10.20am yesterday.

He was taken to Merrylands Police Station, where he was charged with murder and wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
