Northern Territory Police have charged a 34-year-old male in relation to an alleged aggravated assault which occurred in Katherine in the early hours of Thursday 27 June, 2019.
Police were called to a disturbance at a unit complex in Katherine East at about 4:20am on Thursday 27 June, 2019. Upon arrival, a 30-year-old female was located with suspected stab wounds to the chest. She was transported by Careflight to the Royal Darwin Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The 34-year-old male was arrested and later charged with:
1 x Aggravated Assault
1 x Breach of Bail
1 x Engage in conduct that contravenes DVO
1 x Unlawfully cause serious harm
The male was remanded in custody overnight and will appear in the Katherine Local Court today.
