Northern Territory Police have charged a youth in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred at a bottle shop in Leanyer earlier this week.
At around 7:40pm on Tuesday, the 14-year-old male and an unknown co-offender entered the business and allegedly assaulted staff before stealing a quantity of alcohol and fleeing the scene.
Strike Force Trident detectives arrested the 14-year-old yesterday and charged him with:
- 1 x Aggravated robbery
He was bailed to appear in court 6 October 2021.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “Investigations into this incident are ongoing as police work to identity the second offender. Strike Force Trident will continue to put offenders such as these before the courts. “
