Northern Territory Police have charged the driver involved in a fatal crash in Alice Springs in September 2023.
Major Crash detectives arrested the 59-year man at his Alice Springs home this morning.
He has been charged with:
- Hit and run
- Careless driving causing death
He was granted bail and will appear in Alice Springs Local Court on 7 March 2024.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said, “Police allege the driver struck and killed the female pedestrian.
“He failed to stop and render assistance to the injured woman, which is the legal requirement of all drivers.”
