Four people have been charged over an incident in which a 27 year old man drowned on Hobart’s waterfront on Monday night.
Following investigations conducted by Hobart CIB with support from Hobart Uniform, Glenorchy CIB, the Crime Management Unit, Forensics and the Dive Team, four primary suspects were identified, arrested and charged.
These were:
A 17 year old Goodwood youth
A 19 year old Berriedale man
A 25 year old Lenah Valley woman
17 year old Berriedale female youth
All four parties have been jointly charged with Aggravated Robbery with the 17 year old Goodwood man also being charged with Manslaughter.
They were detained in custody and will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow.
