Police lay charges over property offences in Darwin 25 August

Northern Territory Police have charged a man for numerous property offences around Darwin over the past three months.

A 48-year-old male was arrested on Monday 23 August 2021 for his alleged involvement in unlawful entries in Parap, Rapid Creek, Millner, Fannie Bay and Karama between June and August.

Strike Force Trident detectives have charged him with:

  • 1 x Unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 4 x Unlawful entry
  • 1 x Attempt unlawful entry
  • 5 x Damage to property
  • 2 x Stealing
  • 4 x Criminal deception (obtain benefit)
  • 2 x Trespass

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court today

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “This is an extensive list of charges and this type of behaviour has no place in our community. Strike Force Trident will continue to work tirelessly to protect the community, especially our most vulnerable.”
