A man has been charged following assaults on four people at Banyo yesterday, 12 August.
About 11am police responded to reports of a man assaulting people at a grocery shop on Tufnell Road.
It is alleged the man approached a female employee and struck her in the head with two bottles before further assaulting her whilst she was on the ground.
A member of the public intervened and pulled the man off the victim. It’s alleged the man has then assaulted three members of the public standing nearby.
The man was restrained by members of the public before police arrived.
Three men and the woman were transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old Banyo man has been charged with two counts of assaults occasioning bodily harm and one count each of acts intended to cause GBH and serious assault person over 60.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 13 August.
