Police lay charges – Strike Force Trident at Parap

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to property offences in Parap last week.

At 8:55pm, on 2 February 2023, a group of five offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a licensed premises in Parap and stole a large quantity of alcohol before they fled.

Three of the five offenders returned later in the night and stole another quantity of alcohol.

Strike Force Trident commenced an investigation to identify the group and arrested a 25-year-old man yesterday morning.

He was taken to Palmerston Watch House and was charged with:

  • Aggravated robbery x 2

He was remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said “Strike Force Trident members continue to investigate matters well after they are committed to identify offenders and apprehend them in a timely manner.

“Four of five offenders have been arrested in relation to this matter and investigations continue to identify the remaining offender.

“Police continue to urge the community to report any criminal and anti-social behaviour by calling 131 444 or in an emergency to call Triple Zero.”
