Police lay murder charge at Arundel

Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 30-year-old man with murder following the death of a man at Arundel yesterday afternoon, August 23.

It will be alleged just after 3pm, officers were called to a Chiffley Place residence following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, emergency services located a 58-year-old man inside the property who was declared deceased.

A 30-year-old Arundel man allegedly at the property at the time was taken into custody.

He has since been charged with one count of murder and is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today, August 24.
