Police have arrested a man following a fatal shooting in Whittington last night (5 October).
Police responded when ambulance paramedics were called to a property in Boundary Road after reports a man had been shot about 7.20pm.
The 31-year-old Whittington man was unable to be revived and died at the scene.
Police arrested a 39-year-old Whittington man in Leopold just before 6am and he is currently being interviewed.
Both parties are known to each other.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still being established and a crime scene has been set up.
