Police make arrest after drugs delivered to medi-hotel, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he attempted to bring drugs into a medi-hotel.

Police will allege that about 7.40pm on Wednesday 13 October, a 27-year-old West Hindmarsh man went to the hotel carrying two food delivery bags, claiming that he was there to deliver food to people quarantining at the hotel. He dropped off the bags and left the premises.

There were no receipts or details attached to the bags, and when police searched the bags they found small amounts of heroin and other drugs.

The bags were seized and the man was arrested at his home yesterday morning (Thursday 14 October).

He was charged with trafficking a controlled drug and has been bailed to appear in court on 5 January 2022.
