Kalgoorlie Detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into a house fire that occurred on Thursday, 14 November 2019.
It is alleged around 10:30pm, the 37-year-old man set fire to the rental property located on Bourke Street in Piccadilly.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the house and extinguished the fire which caused an estimated $300,000 damage to the home.
The 37-year-old man was the sole occupant of the residence.
The man has been charged with Criminal Damage by Fire and is due to appear in the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on 25 November 2019.
