Police make arrest – Aggravated assault at Tennant Creek 29 November

A woman has been arrested and charged in relation to a serious assault incident which left a man in a critical condition in Tennant Creek at the weekend.

Around 4:30pm on Saturday police responded to a report of a stabbing at a Turner Street home, and on arrival found a 41-year-old man in a critical condition.

The man was transported to Tennant Creek Hospital before being medivaced to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 48-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Tennant Creek Watch House where she was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.

The woman has been remanded in custody to appear before the Tennant Creek Local Court on Wednesday 1 December.
