Police make arrest – Assault in Alice Springs 8 August

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged three people in relation to an assault of a man in Alice Springs last week.

Detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigations Unit arrested three males ages 59, 41 and 15-years of age in relation to the serious assault of a 43-year-old man on Todd Street on Friday afternoon.

The 41 year old was arrested and will appear before court today charged with;

  • Unlawfully cause serious harm
  • Engage in violent conduct
  • Armed with an offensive weapon

A 59 year old was arrested and will appear before court today charged with;

  • Unlawfully cause serious harm
  • Engage in violent conduct
  • Armed with an offensive weapon

The 15 year old male was arrested and charged with Unlawfully cause serious harm and Engage in violent conduct and was bailed to appear before court at a later date.

The 41 year old man will face the additional charge of Assault a police officer, following an incident on Friday afternoon in which it is alleged the man assaulted a police officer at the Alice Springs Police Station.
