Police make arrest – Domestic violence – Moulden

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman following an incident in Moulder over the weekend.

At about 10:40am on Saturday, the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre received a report of a domestic dispute on Birkett Circuit, Moulden.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a male victim with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. The 30-year-old male, known to the offender, had been left with life-threatening injuries to his neck and chest. He was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital were emergency surgery was conducted, and the victim remains in stable condition.

A crime scene was established, and the Domestic Violence Unit began investigating the incident.

Subsequently, detectives arrested the woman on Sunday. She has been charged with the offence of intending serious harm and causing harm. The woman was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Scott Russell said, “Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place on Brikett Court, Moulden. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 131 444 and reference NTP2400017230.”
