Special Crime Squad detectives have charged a 59-year old man as a result of their extensive investigation into an incident that occurred in Fremantle in 1994.
It will be alleged between 2.30am and 4am on Saturday 28 May 1994, the man gained entry into a home on Swanbourne Street through a window and once inside, sexually assaulted the lone female occupant.
On Wednesday 4 November 2020, detectives charged the 59-year-old man from Collie with:-
• Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent; and
• Aggravated Burglary and Commit Offence in Dwelling.
He is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 25 November 2020.
