Police make arrest for multiple property offences in Alice Springs

A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged in relation to a series of unlawful entries and stolen motor vehicles in Alice Springs.

Members of Strike Force WINX arrested the youth in relation to;

* The unlawful entry of a home in Araluen on June 7 where a Toyota Hilux and several items were stolen. The vehicle was later located south of The Gap.

* The unlawful entry of a Sadadeen home on June 25 where an Isuzu DMAX ute and several other items were stolen. The vehicle was involved in several service station drive-offs and has never been recovered.

* Stealing a vehicle from a Sadadeen residence on July 3, was involved in a service station drive off and multiple traffic offences before dumping the vehicle south of Alice Springs.

The youth is scheduled to appear before the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today charged with;

2 x Unlawful entry – Dwelling – Aggravated

2 x Damage to property

4 x Stealing

3 x Unlawful use of a motor vehicle – aggravated

3 x Drive motor vehicle unlicensed

1 x Drive manger dangerous

2 x Entre intersection against red light

1 x Cross double lines where not permitted

1 x Driver vehicle causing loss of traction
