Northern Territory Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in relation to an aggravated unlawful entry on 4 February 2023.
At 4:15am, the man allegedly entered a residence armed with an edged weapon, assaulting the occupant of the house and causing serious injuries.
Today, detectives attended a location on Cavenagh Street to arrest the alleged offender. The man fled from police, entering a nearby residence.
Police officers cordoned off and contained the man in the residence prior to negotiating with him for a safe arrest.
Charges are expected to be laid later today.
