Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to an incident that occurred last night in Malak.
At around 10:00pm, police received reports that a 47-year-old man had been assaulted by a 39-year-old male with an edged weapon at a residence in Malak.
The man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries and remains in a stable condition.
Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are investigating the incident.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said, “Investigations are ongoing into this incident. The 39-year-old suspect was arrested early this morning and is in custody.
“We urge anyone, with information or who witnessed the incident, to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference 9866940.”
