Police make arrests after Craigieburn burglary

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two people in relation to a burglary which occurred in Craigieburn last month.

Police allege a man and a woman broke into a property on Southern Crescent about 6am on 12 December and stole a wheelchair and other items.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested at an address in Kalkallo today after a search warrant was executed.

She has been charged with burglary, theft and possess drug of dependence and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 19 May.

A further warrant was executed at a factory in Merola Way, Campbellfield where jewellery believed to be stolen during the burglary was recovered and a Holden Commodore seized in relation to another incident.

A third and final warrant was executed at an address in Westmeadows.

Police recovered the allegedly stolen disability scooter, televisions and a computer.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the address and charged with handle stolen goods, conduct endangering life, prohibited person possess imitation firearm, stalking and breach bail.

He faced Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
