Police make arrests after pursuit in the western suburbs, South Australia

Three people have been arrested following a police pursuit through the western suburbs early this morning.

Police will allege just after 1am on Friday 22 February, patrols spotted a stolen green Holden Commodore sedan in Morphettville.

Police followed the car through the streets of Oaklands Park, Goodwood and Thebarton. The police helicopter (Polair) assisted with the pursuit and tracked the car to Bowden where the suspects dumped the car on Thirteenth Street and ran from the scene.

All three occupants of the car including the driver were arrested quickly without incident.

Enquires revealed the car had been stolen from the Modbury Shopping Centre a few hours earlier.

A 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman both from Holden Hill and a 29-year-old man from Ceduna were arrested and charged with illegal use and engage in a police pursuit. All parties were refused bail and appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrate Court today.
