Police make arrests at Unley, South Australia

Great worked by an alert patrol leads to arrest of two at Unley.

Just before 4.30am on Wednesday 27 October police were patrolling Unley Road when they noticed two people walking carrying a large sports bag and wearing black masks, one was also wearing a balaclava.

The patrol did a u-turn to speak to the duo but they ran before dumping the bag behind a business.

Cordons were quickly set up in the area and PD Rusty and his handler were called to sniff out the suspects.

A man and teenage boy were located hiding in a rear yard on Charles Street where they were they were arrested.

Police located the back which contained tools and a full face mask.

The man aged 24 and boy aged 15 both from Rostrevor were charged with unlawful possession, unlawfully on premises, going equipped and carrying article of disguise. The man was also charged with carrying prohibited weapon after he was found in possession of a knuckle duster.

They have both been bailed to appear in court in December.
