Police make arrests – Crime Series in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested four youths in relation to recent property incidents throughout the Greater Darwin area.

Between 26 August 2021 and 1 September 2021, the four youths, aged between 13 and 15, were allegedly involved in multiple incidents for aggravated robbery, stealing and damage to property.

Yesterday, Strike Force Trident detectives with assistance from Dog Operations, located and arrested the four youths at different locations in the northern suburbs, before conveying them to Palmerston Watch House.

All four youths have been charged with multiple offences – 31 charges laid in total. They were remanded to appear in court today.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland, said police have been working hard to locate these individuals before they caused serious harm to another person.

“The behaviour of these youths is despicable and frankly concerning. They were involved in a number of unprovoked violent aggravated robberies, leaving the victims traumatised.”
