Police make arrests – Property offences in Darwin 15 June

Northern Territory Police arrested two youths yesterday in relation to offences in Fannie Bay and Berrimah.

Police allege that around 2:30am on 11 June, the pair attended the shops in Fannie Bay, causing damage to several properties and stealing from two businesses.

Around 8:40pm on 12 June, the pair allegedly attended a business in Berrimah and caused damage, which activated the business’s alarm and the pair fled.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “On both occasions, the youths were seen on CCTV. Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested them both yesterday without incident.”

A 16-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Unlawful entry x 2
  • Property damage x 4
  • Stealing x 2
  • Trespass

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court on 15 June 2022.

Another 16-year-old male will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
