Police make drug arrest after vehicle stop

Around 12.01am on 12 October 2019, Kensington Police initiated a vehicle stop on a Nissan Utility that was driving along Mends Street in South Perth, to conduct a random breath test and licence check.

It is alleged during a search of the vehicle and the driver, police located and seized 14 drug related items including:-

• Approximately 12 grams of Oxandrolone (anabolic steroids);

• Approximately 26 grams of Dexamphetamine;

• Approximately 33 grams MDMA;

• Approximately 2.75 grams of Cocaine; and

• A set of scales.

As a result of these items being located, a Misuse of Drugs search warrant was executed by Cannington Detectives at the man’s home in Beaconsfield. It is further alleged during the search police located and seized 10 drug related items including a 10 millilitre bottle of testosterone.

The 37-year-old man from Beaconsfield has been charged with:-

• Three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (MDMA, Cocaine and Dexamphetamine); and

• Two counts of Possessed a Prohibited Drug (Steroid, Testosterone).

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 30 October 2019.
