Police make drug arrests in north western suburbs

Two properties were searched and three people were arrested for drug offences earlier this week in the north western suburbs.

On Wednesday 3 March, Western District police with the assistance of members from Special Task and Rescue (STAR) Group and Dog Operations Unit conducted a search of a home in Kilburn and Woodville Gardens. As a result of these searches police located and seized cash totalling more than $190K along with approximately 1 gram of cocaine, 1 gram of heroin and other drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested a 65-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman both from Kilburn. They were charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and three counts of money laundering. A 59-year-old woman from Woodville Gardens was also arrested, she was charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and three counts of money laundering.

The 65-year-old man and the 59-year-old woman were refused police bail and will appear in Port Adelaide Magistrates Court

court today, Friday 5 March. The 21-year-old woman was granted bail to appear in court at a later date.
