Police officer charged, Operations Support Command

A 41-year-old male senior constable from Operations Support Command has been charged following allegations of high range drink driving.

The 41-year-old was involved in a two-vehicle traffic crash, whilst on duty, in Bladon Street, Yamanto at 8.10pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

The driver and the passenger from the other vehicle received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital for observation.

The male senior constable returned an alleged Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of 0.177 percent.

The officer has been stood down from duty with the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on February 1.
