Police probe sudden death in Pullenvale

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the death of a woman after her vehicle became submerged in flood waters at Pullenvale, West Brisbane, earlier this evening (December 8).

About 4.40pm, police and emergency services received a report of a sedan being swept off Lancing Street and into a nearby creek as a result of moving flood waters.

Following an extensive response involving fire and rescue swift water crews, Polair and the dive squad, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 75-year-old Taringa woman, was located deceased inside the sedan.

Investigations are continuing regarding the circumstances of the incident.
