Police release CCTV as investigation continues into kidnapping – Milperra

Detectives are appealing for information as investigations continue into the kidnapping and assault of a man in Sydney’s south west earlier this month.

Shortly before 4.20pm on Saturday 15 August 2026, emergency services were called to a business on Works Place, Milperra, following reports a man had been assaulted.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were informed a 64-year-old man had allegedly been detained and assaulted inside the premises by several men before the group stole cash and other items and left the location.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged.

A crime scene was established, and Strike Force Magmaas was formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives have released CCTV footage of three vehicles – a white Toyota Hilux Utility, a silver Toyota Corolla sedan and white Mitsubishi Canter – that were seen in the vicinity of McGirr Street, Padstow, immediately after the incident.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicles, or their occupants, who may be able to assist with the investigation, to come forward.
