Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Epping 23 July

A motorcyclist has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney’s northwest overnight.

About 8pm (Saturday 22 July 2023), emergency services were called to Blaxland Road at Epping, about 200m from the Epping Road intersection, after reports a Suzuki SUV and a Honda motorcycle, both travelling southbound, had collided.

The motorcyclist – a 22-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he died a short time later.

The driver of the SUV – a 67-year-old man – was taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory testing.

A 61-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, who were passengers in the SUV, were uninjured.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, with officers commencing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
